As a reaction to the sad state of affairs in the jazz record industry, I started my own label called OYO Records (Own Your Own as well as a tribe in Nigeria). This is something has been in the back on my mind since I bought my first record - to empower myself and to take this great music back for the musicians. Unfortunately, this is a rare occurence nowadays, but something which is changing because of today's technology. My first release is Live at The Jazz Standard - Volume 1
